Steve Haswell – Strength & Power

Bio

I grew up in Durham but joined the British Army in 1999 and spent 15 years living and travelling all over the world. Fitness and sport have always been a big part of my life and I concentrated mainly on athletics (sprinting), rugby league and weight training before taking up powerlifting in 2012. Initially competing on the military circuit I then branched out and began competing with the BDFPA in 2014 where I have enjoyed a lot of success. After leaving the military in 2014 my training has become a lot more consistent and I am looking to improve over the coming years competing with both the BDFPA and GBPF.

Away from powerlifting you’ll find me either travelling along the M62 following the Leeds Rhinos in Super League or Paragliding over the Yorkshire Dales when the weather permits!

Fission Supplements Used

  • SVP Protein

  • AV-8TION Hardcore

NO.1 FISSION NUTRITION SUPPLEMENT AND WHY?

AV-8TION Hardcore – I find this to be a fantastic pre-workout and it really helps me push through those hard training sessions when it starts getting tough.

FAVOURITE TRAINING ROUTINE AND WHY?

I like to change my training plan around every 3 months or so, nothing too drastic but it will depend on what lift I am trying to improve on at the time.
Currently training 4 days per week so I’m hitting it hard and enjoying the extra rest days

Monday – Bench Press, Triceps
Tuesday – Squats, Deadlift
Thursday – Squats, Bench Press
Friday – Accessory day to work on weak areas
