Lisa Hedges – Crossfit

Bio
In January 2013 I was diagnosed with an aggressive Melanoma Cancer. At the time I weighed 77kg and was unfit. I had 2 Operations involving the removal of large amounts of effected tissue on my back. Post operation I was determined to get fit and become stronger. A new Crossfit box had opened in My home town and as soon as I was able I decided to give it a try. I instantly got the bug and began training regularly. The training gave me something positive to focus on and I began to see results really quickly. I began to lose weight and started to feel fit and strong. I started competing in late 2014 and reached the finals of Battle of the Beasts. I have continued to train hard and improve and have competed at the highest level including the finals of the British championships 2015.
